I've been using Testors enamels with excellent results, especially the pearls and metallics, but I've come to the point where Testors line of enamels is no longer giving me any options I want to try. So, I've been trying to find other mfrs, but with little success. Even big companies like Tamiya, which have hundreds of cool colors, only offer them in acrylic. I've looked at HoK, but that paint line is very expensive, and difficult for a car modeler like moi to comprehend what with all of the pre-painting issues involved (need a basecoat - what do you use... that type of thing). I've looked at Humbrol, but can't get excited about them because of a dislike for the lidded cans, and the lack of a decent color chart.
So, is there anyone else you can recommend that mfrs a full line of enamel paints targetted specifically at the hobby industry?
