I just had to vent a little... I don't think I've been so disappointed in a kit as I have been with Revell's Outlaw! I sure had high expectations! Well, you'd think that by now they would have made enough of a profit to allow a re-release of anything-better in the quality department. Revell must have designated the "B" team to design this dog, and then gave them such a small budget that they had to do things like offer a small sheet of clear acetate - so you could cut out your own windshield! Other things are cheapened as well. Someone in the design department must have decided that the way to go was to eliminate a sprue of regular plastic parts by making a large proportion of parts plated with chrome! Talk about tiny parts - it's an injustice to provide chromed "hub caps" for the front tires that are so small, you can't even hold them with tweesers, let alone install them. As far as I'm concerned, this could have been done as a part of the wheels (as in "molded" together in one piece).
Granted a lot of my problems stem from the fact that I'm an older modeler, but this puts just about any special release in jeopardy for me because of my poor experience with this one. And I was really looking forward to building Roth's Tweety Pie! Perhaps someone who has built this in the past can let me know how much they ruined previously released versions of Tweety Pie? Please! It's supposed to ship by month-end...
