my latest project is revell's chevy street truck. I started on it back in my younger less patient days and had the intentions of cutting the rear frame clip off (which I did) and adding a notch and 4 link for it and making a bagged show truck out of it. I got frustrated and lost interest and put it back in the box. recently I dug it out with the intention of bashing it with my 77 gmc wrecker and use the frame clip and cab which had a little more detail and gave me the option of putting an engine in it. But after getting it out and realizing I still had most of the parts and more experience now I decide to build it agian, this time as a primered, mismatched body panel shop/salvage truck with a big block from amt's 70 chevelle and various car parts in the bed and parts box wheels and tires that fit the proportion of the kit better. Here it is.
here's how I am repairing the cut frame, I'm gluing pieces of thin plastic on each side and then filling in the gap, hopefully it will be strong enough
I'm also filling in the sunroof
I'm going to attempt some weathering techniques on it once it's ready for paint and wire the engine
any suggestions on what direction to go with it or tips to make the build better are welcome
