Okay, I was gonna save this until it was a little farther along, but there seems to be a flurry of custom pickups getting built these days, and I didn't want to be late for the party...
...old classic Monogram kit....had been started when I got it...
...object is to build an updated version, but still with the '60s vibe, and retaining some of the signature design elements of the original...
This might be a 5-th wheel tow unit, or a race-car trailer-hauler in an alternate-reality "Viva Las Vegas". Stretched wheelbase to accommodate a big fuel tank, dually slicks, pickup-bed raised, narrowed and lengthened, completely new nose, and a soft-top in place of the solar-oven bubble. All that will require a new custom vacuum-formed windshield (tutorial coming). The big distracting hole behind the front wheel is going away, it's probably going to have a blower sticking through the hood .....and there will be shiny chrome side pipes....
