Hi everyone,
Here is my newest project: the 12 hours of Sebring race and GT class winner in 1971, "Stars & Stripes" C2 Corvette.
In Deceber 2010, Andy Kellock wrote in his column "Bench Racer" of Scale Auto Mag about 3 L88 Corvettes: the 1966 Penske Sunoco, the 1969 Owens Corning and the 1971 Greenwood's Stars n' Stripes. It was this article that makes me look for those 3 kits and try to build they.
But it was only in the end of last year that I was able to buy this one and now, after finished with some other models that were on my workbench I can finally start it.
So, lets go!
The kit
The body
In his article, Andy mentions that the "car has flares over the front and rear wheels, but Revell only gives you rear flares". So I had to make copies of the rear flares using masking tape and I transferred they to a piece of styrene sheet and now, I need to find out how I'll glue they to the body. Any ideas?
That's it for now. I hope I can post updates soon.
Thanks for looking!
Starr
