Cutting up diecasts to build a '57 Pontiac Safari Wagon.

Time to let the Auburn thread have a proper burial and move on Cool.

The beginning pics are of the '57 Safari I owned and resto-rodded in the early to mid 70's. Is that a term rodders still use?? The little pics are the originals. Funny looking now. High techest that we had then, but ancient  today.

MY dad owned a nearly new Starchief two-door hard top. Absolutely beautiful and it drove like a dream. I learned to drive in that car, and I raced in it because - IT WAS FAST Cool

Some years later, after I had been married awile, I wanted one for me. There was a connection, and I wanted to personalize the car to fit me.

I founf one in Pomona, Socal, this wagon - never heard of it, but loved it at first site. I spent three years on it,  and the rest is history.
